The structure had to remain below 140 mm in its starting position and only expand beyond this height when activated by a rolling marble. Each team member developed an individual concept and produced detailed technical drawings, which allowed me to clearly present and justify my own design decisions even though my concept was not selected for the final version. Working systematically through ideation, prototyping, and iteration taught me how to approach engineering challenges in a methodical and well-documented way.
